Intellectual Property Protection

With international software piracy on the rise, sensible clients should pay great attention to a vendor’s ability to protect sensitive information and IP rights. At Validio we take the steps necessary to protect our clients’ sensitive data.

While countries like Russia and China struggle with piracy, Ukraine has strengthened its IP protection laws and enforcement, as important components in its effort to join the European Union. With full support for U.S. and European Union laws, Validio provides complete protection of its clients’ IP rights.

Validio’s relationship with its clients is that of an independent contractor, and all development is considered a commissioned “work made for hire” as that term is defined under U.S. copyright law. As a result, the client becomes the copyright holder. Our clients have access to their source code and documentation at any time during development.

Confidentiality provisions in our legal agreements bind Validio and our employees to protect the secrecy and confidentiality of our clients’ information. Validio uses an industry-standard secure connection when sending and receiving information. Data is stored in password-protected archives, preventing unauthorized access even if files are intercepted in transit. Within Validio, access to project-related data is restricted to assigned project team members.
